DEATH VALLEY CALIFORNIA
Other worldly is a good way to describe this place on earth. Before leaving the country for our winter home in Costa Rica, and with Death Valley in mind, we decided to road trip down to LA and fly from their.
Bridget and I spent a week camping in Death Valley National Park amid the government shutdown. We totally lucked out as the park was nearly vacant due to the closure of facilities…luckily we camp fairly self-sufficient. Each day after waking up to endless blue skies and not a soul in sight, we ventured from our camp to see the “must see” spots of death valley including, Mesquite Dunes, Racetrack Playa, Zabrinski Point, Badwater Salt Flats, Dontes Peak, and many lesser know locals as well. We scored with mild temperatures during the day and cool temperatures at night, perfect for enjoying red wine around a roaring fire.
We’ll be back to Death Valley for sure, I’d actually like to visit in the summer and feel the HEAT! All of these photos are available for PRINTS , and are suitable for large format artwork prints (with exception of drone photos).
